So what about the mountain? With over 650km of skiable pistes, in 2 countries, over 12 resorts, with 196 ski lifts and 280 slopes, it’s pretty huge! In fact the Portes du Soleil is the largest ski area in Europe.

In just Avoriaz alone (direct access just 300 metres from the Hostel) there is a super pipe, 2 freestyle parks and the World famous Burton Stash for those of you who really like to send it.

Morzine really is at the heart of the World mountain biking scene, with a torrent of pro riders migrating here between the World Cup races across Europe. Who doesn’t like sharing a lift with a downhill hero?

If hurtling down Pleney black isn’t your thing, there’s also an insane amount of enduro trails and road bike routes including some of the cols ridden in the famous Tour De France.
